![]() Many know the Song of Songs as the best song about love ever. And it is — but it’s more than this. It’s also a song of protest. While many see the Song of Songs as a celebration of the love between Solomon and one of his many brides, in this workshop, Dr. Beth Currier will help us see another way to read the Song. Come and discover how underlying the Song of Songs is a story about three characters, not two. And learn by walking through the book how this story critiques rather than celebrates Solomon, the king of Israel who started out so well, seeking and receiving wisdom, but who ended up collecting women. You will enjoy teaching and discussion in this 90-minute virtual workshop. Join us for this free event and enjoy connecting with the women of Pillar Seminary and host, Kat Armstrong. This is also a great opportunity if you are interested in seminary education to get a taste of how exciting it is to see the Bible come alive as we learn together. |
