J. Daniel Mattern

Biography

Daniel and his wife live in Dallas, TX, but their passion is for global leadership development. Daniel has over a decade of cross-cultural teaching experience, including six years where he was able to train leaders from all over East Africa. He received his PhD from Dallas Theological Seminary. His dissertation was on how suffering was used to shape the identity in Greco-Roman communities. His research interests include the Greek language, suffering in ancient texts, and the use of Social Identity Theory in NT studies.
