Holding applicant status with the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation (5850 T. G. Lee Blvd., Ste. 130, Orlando, FL 32822, 407.207.0808) is a pre-membership status granted to those institutions that meet the ABHE Conditions of Eligibility and that possess such qualities as may provide a basis for achieving candidate status within five years.

The process of obtaining applicant status involved a targeted review of Pillar Seminary’s institutional stability, faculty qualifications, administrative processes, and commitment to achieving excellence. The ABHE Commission found that the seminary was in substantial compliance with the 26 conditions of eligibility required by applicant status. The seminary’s leadership, faculty, and staff must now engage in a rigorous self-study process over the next several years aimed at demonstrating substantial compliance with all of the ABHE standards.
