THE POLISHED SCHOLARSHIP
Polished is a network that gathers working women to navigate the workplace and explore faith together in authentic community.
In a rapidly changing world, the role of Christian women in the workplace is becoming increasingly significant. As society evolves, so do the challenges and opportunities faced by women striving to integrate their faith with their professional aspirations. This scholarship aims to explore and emphasize the importance of seminary education in empowering Christian women to excel and make a meaningful impact in their respective fields.
Applicants should submit an essay of up to 500 words that demonstrates a thoughtful understanding of the intersection of Christian faith, seminary education, and women’s roles in the workplace. Additionally, applicants are encouraged to share their personal motivations and aspirations related to pursuing seminary education and how they envision making a positive impact in their chosen field.
The selected recipient will receive a one-time scholarship grant of $1500 to support their seminary education and will have their essay showcased in the Polished Network’s monthly newsletter to inspire and encourage other Christian women in their professional journeys.
- Applicant must be accepted into one of the three following programs: Certificate of Contextual Leadership, Master of Arts, or Master of Divinity.
- Applicant must fill out an application form and submit a 500 word essay using the prompt provided.
- Applicant must be a female currently working full-time or part-time in a ministry or non-ministry related field.
- Application must be submitted by September 30, 2023 to be considered for a spring 2024 award.
The Polished Scholarship recipient is determined by the Polished Network’s Board of Trustees. Pillar Seminary does not influence or play any role in determining the person(s) to be awarded the scholarship.
Following the September 30, 2023 deadline, the Polished Board will perform a blind review of the essay responses. No identifying information will be provided to the reviewers. The scholarship recipient will be notified no later than November 6, 2023.
