Admissions Counselor/Recruiter
Contract (equivalent of 3-5 hours per week)
$400/month
Flexible schedule during 8am-7pm central
Remote; some travel may be required (not more than quarterly)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
As a Part-Time Admissions Counselor/Recruiter at Pillar Seminary for Contextual Leadership, you will play a pivotal role in attracting and enrolling talented individuals who are passionate about pursuing theological education rooted in contextual relevance and transformative leadership. Your primary objective will be to engage prospective students, guide them through the admissions process, and facilitate their journey toward becoming valued members of our vibrant community.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Previous success in admissions, recruitment, customer service, or sales roles
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Google workspace, and CRM software
- Ability to work remotely
- Alignment with the mission and values of Pillar Seminary
DUTIES
- Recruitment Outreach
Proactively reach out to prospective students through various channels, including phone calls, emails, social media platforms, and community events. Cultivate meaningful connections with individuals interested in pursuing theological education and effectively articulate the distinctive mission and values of Pillar Seminary. - Admissions Support:
Provide personalized guidance and support to prospective students throughout the admissions process. Assist applicants in understanding program offerings, application requirements, financial aid options, and important deadlines. Serve as a knowledgeable resource and address any inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously. - Event Coordination:
Collaborate with staff to plan and execute recruitment events, such as information sessions and virtual preview days. As needed, develop engaging presentations, promotional materials, and multimedia content to showcase Pillar Seminary’s unique approach to contextual leadership education and attract prospective students. - Relationship Building:
As applicable, foster strong partnerships with local churches, community organizations, and educational institutions to expand Pillar Seminary’s recruitment network and reach a diverse pool of prospective candidates. Attend relevant remote networking events to promote the seminary’s mission and establish mutually beneficial connections. - Data Management:
Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, applicant interactions, and enrollment data using the seminary’s CRM/information system.

- Must work well with others on a team
- Must be able to engage others in a courteous and professional manner
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS OR PREFERENCES
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Seminary experience preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENTS OR PREFERENCES
- Active, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- Active participation in a local church
- Counseling or coaching experience preferred
- This is a remote position. Must be able to provide your own computer and workspace sufficient to see the demands of the job can be met. An institutional email account will be provided.
- Must be able to provide your own phone for work use purposes.
