Online Women’s Workshop – Song of Songs: A Story of Love and Protest (With Dr. Beth Currier)

June 13 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm CDT

What is the message of Song of Songs? Why is it included in the Bible? While many see the Song of Songs as a celebration of love between Solomon and one of his many brides, Dr. Beth Currier, Hebrew Bible professor at Pillar Seminary will help us see another way to read the Song–– a tragic story with three characters, not two. We’ll explore how this powerful book critiques Solomon, the king of Israel, who sought wisdom from the start, but strayed to his downfall through the coercion and collection of women.

Women are invited to join us for this free, 90-minute online event and enjoy connecting with Pillar Seminary and The Truly Co., hosted by Lindsay May, Publisher of Truly magazine. Comfy clothes and your favorite beverage are encouraged as we study together! We guarantee you’ll leave with new friends and excitement for seeing scriptures come alive through contextual understanding.

Register today to reserve your spot (or get the event replay!)
